Language Programs
Every Fall & Spring semester FaithAction International House offers a series of foreign language classes starting for community members interested in improving their ability to communicate across cultures! Each class includes a total of 18 hours of instruction over 9 to 12 weeks for a cost of $65. The classes will meet at FaithAction International House (705 N. Greene St. Greensboro, NC 27401).
Spring 2012 semester has begun January 16th and will continue until April 8th!
Introduction to Spanish Part I- Mon & Wed 12:30- 1:30pm
Intermediate Spanish- Thurs 5:30-7:00pm
Introduction to Arabic- Mon 5:30- 7 pm
Intermediate Arabic- Tues 5:30- 7pm
Introduction to French- Tues 7:00- 8:30pm

The Language Exchange Program -FREE-
Are you an adult who already has some ability in English or a foreign language but would like to further sharpen your skills? FaithAction International House has a Language Exchange program that pairs English speakers with speakers of foreign languages. The pairs meet weekly in a neutral location and spend half of their time together conversing in English and the other half conversing in the foreign language. The program is free and is ideal for those who have the basics of the other language and wish to improve their conversational skills.
We are now seeking people who would be interested in this unique volunteer opportunity! All interested should contact Courtney Payne at cpayne@faihouse.org, or call 379-0037 ext 1# and plan to attend an orientation session with their partner at FaithAction before beginning their weekly meetings.
Club de Conversación en Español –FREE–
Every Monday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at FaithAction International House. The new conversation club leader is Angie Kapely- a recent graduate from UNCG with extensive exeprience with Spanish from her time spent abroad and in her undergraduate studies. We have had other language classes in the past and are open to new ones, so let us know now if you are interested in studying a different language in the future.

Mango Languages through the Greensboro Public Library
If you are a resident of Guilford County and have a library card for the Greensboro Public Library system, you have free access to an amazing resource online (either at a library or at your home computer).
Mango Languages is designed to improve or teach you conversational abilities in other languages. Whether you’re learning how to order a pizza or ask when the game starts, Mango immerses you in real, everyday conversations in over 20 different languages, plus English for speakers of 10 different languages.
