Upcoming and Past Events

Upcoming Events:

“FaithAction International House is pleased to partner with Zaytoon’s Restaurant to offer a new monthly multicultural and interfaith community building initiative entitled the Stranger to Neighbor Dialogues.  S2ND will feature a different culture or religion from our city each month to share their perspectives, experiences and gifts, and to be in dialogue with all those who attend about how we can build bridges across lines of culture and faith – turning strangers into neighbors as we seek to become a model multicultural, interfaith and immigrant welcoming city.  S2ND includes a wonderful meal prepared by Zaytoon’s owner and FaithAction board member Annah Awartani.  Tickets are $10.  For more information, contact Rev. David Fraccaro at dfraccaro@faihouse.org

World Religion Day at Beth David Synagogue

“FaithAction was thrilled to partner once again with the Piedmont Interfaith Council for this wonderful interfaith event, which brought together over 200 people representing over a dozen faith communities to learn about and celebrate our rich religious diversity and to meet new neighbors.  After the celebration, participants engaged in interfaith service by collecting and packing meals for hungry school children in partnership with the Out of the Garden project.

FaithAction’s Annual Multicultural Thanksgiving

Over 250 people, representing two dozen different cultures attended our 9th Annual Multicultural Thanksgiving, hosted by the First Presbyterian Church.  In addition to the incredible array of food and drink, several cultural groups offered song and dance entertainment.  Thank you to all who volunteered their time and efforts to this wonderful multicultural gathering, reminding us that we are all unique – together complete!  Photos from the Multicultural Thanksgiving were graciously offered by Drew Pearson, and are the cover for our 2012 honor cards that can be purchased at FaithAction for $10.”
