Diversity in Greensboro: From Stranger to Neighbor–January24th
FaithAction and The HR Group, Inc., sponsored a Diversity Breakfast on January 24, 2012. For Rev. David Fraccaro, facilitator of the event, the goal of the gathering was to help guests envision Greensboro as “an immigrant welcoming community.” The attendees participated in group conversations about the perceptions of immigrants within different sectors of community. They also shared stories about immigration as a way to build bridges between culture and faith.
World Religion Day Service- January 15th from 3-4pm at the Beth David Synagogue
This event took place in January with a great number of attendees. Over 200 people representing 8 different faiths gathered to celebrate our rich religious diversity and meet new neighbors. Thank you to the staff and volunteers of the Piedmont Interfaith Council, FaithAction, Out of the Garden project, and Beth David Synagogue for building bridges in our community!
